Sarah graduated from Baylor University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. She worked as a high school science teacher in a Title I school district for 3 years before returning to school to become a nurse. While in nursing school she continued to work part time for Texas A&M University, College Station, where she mentored other teachers and helped develop science curriculum. As an undergraduate nursing student, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and was a part of the Honors Research Program where she published and presented an article on blood pressure monitoring.

In 2018, Sarah graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UTHealth Houston Cizik School of Nursing and began working in the Neurology ICU at CHI Baylor St. Luke’s in the Texas Medical Center. Her nursing experience also includes COVID ICU, Medical ICU, and PACU. Her leadership positions include unit practice council co-chair, charge nurse, and preceptor for new nurses. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston School of Nursing in 2022 where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded the Mary Beth Lott Upchurch Award for Outstanding Master's Nursing Student.

Sarah’s hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, hiking at National Parks, and reading.
